classic games

Many people associate digital or online games with game-based learning activities. However, all kinds of games can be used as a basis for a gamified teaching resource. Many classic social, card or board games can serve as a useful source for developing engaging activities for your students.
Sometimes you can take an existing game and simply change some of the game's rules to improve your students' understanding of a particular subject (see Social Justice Monopoly).
Other games need to be adapted a little more to become a useful teaching resource (see Leisure Time Activities Bingo, Serious Jenga or Forbidden Words: Pedagogical Terminology).
