Species of the day (Science/Biology):
A warm-up exercise or pair/small group exercise.
The students select a species of plant or animal, from the local area.
The students then prepare a short and precise presentation, preferably with PowerPoint or a similar tool.
If used as a warm-up exercise the students can take turns, with one student presenting at the start of a lesson.
It can then be used as a spark for a spontaneous group discussion.
