FLASHCARD SHEET
TITEL:
Quiz, Quiz, Trade with animals
TYPE OF ACTIVITY:
A mingling, conversation activity. Asking and answering questions in pairs in plenum on the floor practicing vocabulary and definitions.
HOW TO PLAY THE GAME:
Each student picks a flash card about a certain topic: E.g., “Animals”. One side of the card has a picture of the animal and the other side the question: E.g., What animal is it?
The students stand on the floor and find a partner.
In pairs student A asks the question and describes the animal.
Student B must guess the animal and answers.
Student A tells if it is correct or incorrect.
Now, the students switch roles, and it is student B to describe his or her animal written and shown on his or her card. Student A answers.
The students switch cards, and both raise their hands to show they are available and to find a new partner. They repeat the procedure and so on.
When all the students have guessed the cards, the game is over.
If you want to continue the game, the students can have a new set of cards with animals.
