SQL Island is a browser-based educational game based on the concept of text adventures.
After a plane crash, the character lands on an island. You talk to inhabitants, collect items and fight against bad guys. However, the peculiarity of this game is that the player controls his character only by means of SQL commands. All the necessary commands are presented at first, so no prior experience is necessary. After about an hour of playing, the player masters SELECT, UPDATE and DELETE queries as well as groupings, aggregation functions and joins.
