| Data analysis is the process of annotating, coding and modelling data for the purpose of producing empirically-based research results.The results then can be used for extracting useful information for producing evidence-based outcomes for business, science and industry. An example of data analysis is to analyse players' data on how gaming affect their learning and thinking and then coming up with findings that will inform this research inquiry. Types of data analysis may be from statistical analysis to descriptive and predictive. The particular selection of how data are analysed is determined by the expertise of the analyst, the design of the study, the variables and questions asked along with the overall aims and objectives of the study. |
